Magaluf is focated on Majorca's south west coast and renowned for its lively nightlife. Magaluf is a clubber's paradise compering well to Ibiza.
In the height of summer it's bars, restaurants and discos are packed of visitors looking to party all night long.
Both Magaluf and Palma Nova have fine sandy beaches. There is a variety of sport facilities, including water-skiing, jet-bike hire, pedal boat hire e.t.c. for hire.
After a relaxing day sunbathing and watching the world go by, be prepared for the night life ! Magaluf boasts one of the largest nightclubs in Europe.
Nightlife here is described in many brochures as being "lively" or "extrovert", which we all recognise as being "tour operator speak", and in recognition of the huge numbers of British tourist that come to Magaluf every year.
A large number of English style pubs have now opened to target this market, along with clubs and discos which in the summer rarely close before dawn.
Its proximity to the capital Palma (about 15km away) means that, if you fancy a spot of shopping, you won't have far to travel.
There are many fast food restaurants like McDonalds, Wimpey, Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut etc due to the age of the area's visitors.
Magaluf is far away from being described as the traditional mallorcan town. It is clearly aimed to the young population looking for a loud summer holiday !
