Cala Bona information
Cala Bona is a quiet holiday resort away from the hustle and bustle. It is situated on the North East coast of Mallorca. Over the last years this small fishing village has become a popular tourist resort for those who prefer a quiet holiday.
The town today still has its original narrow streets, which is a great way to explore the town, while visiting the shops with the traditional products.
With almost 2km of fine sandy beach running from Cala Bona ('The Good Bay') to Cala Millor ('The Better Bay') and an every increasing demand for beds, the area has grown to become the major resort development on Mallorca's east coast.
Cala Bona is not a purpose built holiday resort, but more of a small traditional village that has grown and adapted to cater for the islands tourist market.
Nightlife in Cala Bona is fairly quiet, although there are several bars open that offer live entertainment on a nightly basis.
If you are looking for a livelier night you can also visit the nearby resort of Cala Millor, which is within walking distance.
Further north, Arta is well worth a visit, where you can explore the Caves of Drach and get some of the best views on the island from the fortress church at the top of this unique town.
To summarize Cala Bona is good for families, relaxation, culture and the fabulous local cuisine. |
