At the extreme southern end of Mallorca, the town and resort of Colonia Sant Jordi , has an attractive beach and harbour and is a popular stopping off point for a visit to Cabrera Island. There used to be a defense tower and some fishermen shacks in the town. In 1879 a farming colony was founded, but the town wasn’t complete till the tourists arrived in the 1950’s.
